Gering Valley is proud to give back to those who have given so much for our country. Congratulations Foults family!!
Ryan and I are high school sweethearts married at 18 and going on 16 years with 2 kiddos Lillie Ann & Reed. Ryan served in the Marines from Jan 2009 to Aug 2016 and deployed to Afghanistan from 2010-2013. On January 20th, 2011, Ryan's vehicle was struck by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) for ever changing our lives. He walked away from that incident and many others like it unscathed for the remainder of his time in combat. Ryan sustained 2 Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) from IED's over the course of 3 years in combat. Along with the emotional distress from being in combat “PTSD” and TBI's Ryan is still here with us today and is a loving father and devoted husband. From his service to this country and time spent in combat Ryan is now considered “Permanent & Totally Disabled” by the Veteran's Affairs and continues to need assistance from his unseen wounds. Ryan was able to get a job in the Telecom Department at BNSF in 2021 and continues to work there. He currently volunteers as a coach for our son's basketball team and assist other veterans in the community with getting the benefits they deserve from the Veterans Affairs Department. Recognizing Ryan for his service to our country would mean a lot to him and our family. Ryan has never asked for anything, he signed a blank check with his life on the line just to ensure we are free today. Thank you for you consideration, Jennifer Foults
